This is a Yearly Subscription for children and young people from 12 years old.
This is an opportunity for obtaining certification for skills developed and knowledge gained through Forest School and other outdoor learning activities in which the candidate has participated.
The continuous and gradual evaluation is carried on during any activities the young person attends with Sankofa to Nature or with our partner charity Nature Vibezzz, with dedicated open sessions run on Saturdays 2-4pm at Nature Vibezzz Educational Hub at Portobello Allotment, West Norwood.
A minimum of 10 yearly sessions must be attended in order to qualify to be evaluated.
Units include certifications in 7 areas of learning and range from basic understanding on a topic to advanced notions and dexterity:
- Forest School
- Bushcraft
- Gardening
- Personal Development
- Youth Leadership
- Environmental Education
- Environmental Awareness
AQA Units Awards Scheme Subscription
The AQA Units Award Scheme is ideal for families Home Educating to have the young person achievements formally recognised and for any schooled child to obtain as an extracurricular activity.
Units are AQA certified.
Subscription is valid for 1 individual, 12 years old and above and it's non-transferable.
Once the subscription is purchased the participant can opt to continue attending any other sessions they are enroled in with Sankofa to Nature, Nature Vibezzz, or both, to be evaluated.
A minimum of 10 sessions per year must be attended to be evaluated in the different Units. Evaluation will be ongoing and certificates for each achieved Unit will be awarded yearly.
Charity Nature Vibezzz, in partnership with Sankofa to Nature, provides free drop-in sessions specifically dedicated to this Scheme on Saturdays 2-4pm at its Educational Hub in Portobello Allotment, West Norwood. Children candidates can attend these sessions with a parent or be dropped off. In both cases the parent or guardian will give Nature Vibezzz consent for images and recordings for evaluation and promotional purposes.
There is no limit on amount of Units a candidate can achieve in a year. A wide selection of Units in the 7 Categories at different level of difficulties will be offered throughout this time.
