Is a company dedicated to provide Professional and Qualified Guidance, Knowledge & Positive approach to Nature, bridging the gaps between urban life and the natural spaces available, its resources and potential.

Sankofa to Nature provides outdoor educational activities, experiences and spaces for all ages, promoting healthier living using different approaches to provide quality services to each group of Nature lovers.

We develop and promote sustainable, community-led, environmentally friendly & transformative projects through consultation, tailor-made comprehensive training, awareness raising and skill-based training programs, operating nationally and internationally within all areas of work and engagement.

Forest School Leader, Sankofa to Nature

Douglas Saucedo Anez

 

Founder of Sankofa to Nature has a BTEC qualification as a Forest School Leader Level 3, a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce; he has a background in Business and Marketing, Early Years Development and in Traditional African Storytelling and Bushcraft.

 

Douglas has worked in outdoor education for many years and exclusively worked as a Forest School Leader in London for the past 9 years in Primary Schools, Nurseries and Children’s Centre in Lambeth providing Forest School programs, transforming Dad’s groups and Stay and Play sessions into outdoor Forest School opportunities and has organized and developed Forest School for Community Groups, Local Environmental Projects, Natural Education Steering Groups and is a member of the Forest School Association (FSA) and Friends of Streatham Common. Douglas has also funded his own nature oriented UK registered Charity Nature Vibezzz.

Elisa Briscioli

Co- Founder of Sankofa to Nature, Elisa is a certified Garden Designer and has a background in Architecture, Arts, Finance, Teaching and Creating & Developing numerous Educational Programs in different parts of the world in many areas of teaching/learning.

 

Elisa has designed outdoor educational areas and features and built some of them; has organised nature trips for community groups that included the uses of wild plants, designed a wide range of handicrafts using natural or recycled materials with a variety of techniques.

 

 

 

Douglas and Elisa Home Educate their 3 children, which initially motivated them to research -and eventually create, develop and provide, Natural Educational opportunities in their own communities.
